How can I take action and create consistent content online?
Are you feeling stuck?
Wanting to show up consistently online?
Wanting to build your online business?
Wanting to create a podcast, blog or start a new social media channel?
We are here to teach you one thing…
DON'T THINK - DO!
Sometimes it just takes one sentence "JUST DO IT" or "DON'T THINK DO" and we are here to guide you through that! Let’s explore how to take action and create consistent content online!
Taking action as a content creator
Taking the steps towards creating action in your business can feel daunting, you want all of the results straight away, but it’s a gradual process.
It takes persistence, time, and patience and we know how that can be hard to remember, but don’t worry we’ve been there!
When, as the founder, I began on Fiverr, creating on social media was so much easier because it was just for her and her passion.
This blog and podcast, which has now morphed into an amazing content agency, was once a lot simpler and could be approached with that “don’t think just do” attitude!
However, we know how that can change when you also need to consider your other commitments, clients, and businesses that you may be involved with.
Things that may be holding you back from taking action or hitting ‘publish’ on that one thing you have been working on, seem to intensify.
For example, I felt this pressure when the mental block occurred before I hit publish on my first website when I began my business.
I felt it was so difficult because I hadn’t yet told my boss at the time that I was side hustling, can you believe that?
However, I listened to podcasts that inspired me and learnt from coaches that told me it was OK to have a passion and commit to it.
I quickly realised that this roadblock was doing nothing but stopping me from living my best life and doing what I loved, and this is when that “Don’t think, do!” mentality came back and I hit publish!
So while I know how rewarding it can be to take that action in your business, I also know how difficult it can feel to take the plunge.
At the end of the day, you need to find what motivates you and let that lead you on your path - don’t be afraid of the risk because the reward can be SO worth it!
How can you take action and create consistent content?
It really comes down to 3 aspects, so let’s explore them.
The mindset
First things first, identify what’s holding you back. Write them down and vocalise what they are and be aware of it!
Work on your own personality type and understand what type of business owner you are. Are you systematic, go with the flow, or something else? Everyone is different. This is where self-awareness is important and can give you answers as to how you can handle different challenges. Identifying this can also help you accept it and be unique in your business.
Know your purpose - what is the purpose of the content you create! What are you trying to achieve!
The platform
Work on the platforms that allow you to feel inspired, ask yourself if you’re on the right platform for the goals you have
Are you just creating on Instagram because everyone else is? If you’re unsure that the platform you are on is aligned with you, we have just what you need! Check out our content platform quiz here and find out what aligned channel is for you!
Then, once you are on the right platform, formulate the strategy to lead you to success!
The consistency
Taking accountability in your business and for your actions as a business owner is the key to maintaining consistency
Did you know that the more accountability you take, the more consistent in your content creation you become? Well, it's true!
AND did you know there are actually 4 different types of tendencies in people taking accountability? Yep, 4!
They are the Upholder, the Obliger, the Questioner and the Rebel. All of these tendencies, whilst quite different, are there to hold you accountable! But which one are you?

The 4 tips to being more consistent
Do you struggle with remaining consistent? Consistency wasn’t always easy for us at content Queen either, BUT through lots of trial and error, we’ve come up with these 4 steps that could help you stay inspired and show up for your audience!
Step 1: Create a plan of the days you want to show up and what content you want to create. Put it in your calendar! Make it happen.
Step 2: Use scheduling apps (I just use the ones native to each platform) to keep your content flowing. Personally we love Facebook Creator studio and all the social media platforms that now allow for scheduling!
Step 3: Schedule your time wisely and use it! Focus!
Step 4: Use accountability to guide you. Remind yourself why you need to show up, write it in your diary and/or tell a friend to help keep you accountable (as mentioned above).
Getting started on content channels
If you’re looking to get started with writing and creating content for your business and that ‘don’t think just do” attitude is looming, we have a challenge for you!
Writing for your business should be easy because you love your business and what you talk about! If you don't 100% write, outsource.
My advice if you’re stuck on where to start? Do a 30-day challenge and just do something on it everyday for 30 days. Like starting a blog or creating a podcast.
Here is what I did when I wanted to write a book. I worked on it everyday for 30 days. After that, I had a book.
I would always give the content to digest before you read it and use apps like Grammarly to correct your work (if you have time)! You can also get Siri or any voice command to read the work to you (HACK ALERT).
There are just little techniques I still use to help me feel more confident with my writing. The more consistent you are, the more confidence you will have and the more you will love to write. It is a cycle!
It comes down to this equation "a little + often = progression".
Other ways you can keep yourself consistent is, having a day to write, a day to create and batch as much content as you can! This will help you feel organised and keep you consistent when it comes to showing up online.
Then when you’re done, hit POST! Sometimes you just have to let go and just do it!
Final thoughts
Overall, taking action in your business can be scary, and sometimes just ‘doing’ feels uncomfortable, but the reward is amazing! Remember mindset, platform and consistency are the main elements that you want to get under wraps.
