Savige’s Seafood – 20 years of legacy meets a new generation of customers
Working with clients on content is a deeply personal experience. At Content Queen, we know that building and evolving a brand takes trust, time, and a strategy that honours where a business has come from — while paving the way for where it’s going.
When Savige’s Seafood engaged our services, they were looking for more than just social media support - they were ready to elevate their brand presence, celebrate their 20th year in business (as local and family owned), and connect with a whole new audience. Below, you’ll find how we worked with Savige’s to bring this to life.
Savige’s Seafood
Seafood Restaurant
What is the business and what do they do?
Savige’s Seafood is an iconic family-run fish and chip shop based in Queensland, Australia. With 20 years of service to their community, Savige’s is known for its quality seafood, warm customer service, and loyal customer base. They’ve built a strong reputation, including more than 1,800 Google reviews with a 4.3-star rating.
When did they engage in Content Queen Mariah’s Services?
Savige’s began working with Content Queen in mid-2024 with a vision to build their content strategy and digital presence. The goal was to expand their reach on TikTok and Instagram, grow their local reputation, and to bring a freshness to what was already a very well-established business.
At the time they had a great Facebook following but not consistent content, no TikTok presence and a little Instagram presence.
What challenges was Savige’s facing when they started working with Content Queen Mariah?
While Savige’s had decades of success under their belt, they hadn’t yet established a cohesive content marketing strategy.
Their digital presence wasn’t reflecting the brand’s full story, and they wanted to appeal to a younger generation while maintaining their legacy appeal.
Beginning strategy - now:
We began with a full content strategy designed to spotlight their history while speaking to today’s audience. The campaign rollout included:
A new content plan for TikTok (to start), Facebook, and Instagram.
A plan to respond to the 1,800 reviews and keep a Google My Business presence
High-impact content days to gather photos and videos for campaigns.
The 20 years campaign:
To celebrate this major milestone, we built out a full creative campaign that showcased the story behind Savige’s, spotlighted their legacy, and made customers feel part of something special.
This included:
A custom merchandise line: Staff t-shirts, branded stubby holders, and bottle opener keyrings to create a sense of pride and extend the brand into the hands of the community.
Billboard design for high-visibility brand presence in the local area.
A limited-edition 20-year menu item: Honey Prawns, created as a nod to their long-time customers while also bringing something new and exciting to the menu.
A brand photoshoot and content day to generate assets for the campaign roll-out across digital and traditional media.
A docuseries (in development) to share the story of the business, the people behind it, and what’s next.
This campaign helped shift perception - from “local fish and chip shop” to “beloved community brand with a story worth celebrating.”
What we do:
Our ongoing role includes:
Content planning, scheduling, and repurposing across all channels.
Brand-aligned video and photo content creation.
Community management and strategy refinement.
Supporting the creative direction of campaign elements like merchandise and billboard design.
Ongoing measurement and reporting to ensure growth and alignment with goals.
