Seatbelts on, we're ready to take off. All right. We have an awesome guest episode. If you're enticed by the title, you will be enticed by the conversation.

Energy and content, energetics of content. So I wanted to get on a beautiful human,  Cressida Pollock. And she's the creator of Skin Glow Alchemy, which was formerly known as Stripy Horse Skin. And she's on a mission to help women ditch toxic beauty products and messages and reconnect to a more natural, simple, supportive skincare that allows their true radiance to shine.

So,  Um, she incorporates energetics within her work and talks a lot about radiance, which is really cool. And she  channeled her skincare range made by top quality essential oils and all the products are energetically coated to lift your vibration. Which is super cool. And I use these products and they're awesome.

So I wanted to get her to come on and talk about energetics because she does, and we'll talk about it in fuse her products, um, with energy and she is an energetic healer. I wanted to talk about this because. Um, showing up online, you feel like you have to be your most radiant self to sort of attract. And we talk about this, we talk about a lot of things, so I'm just going to let you dive into the episode.

Welcome. Welcome, Cress, to the podcast, I'm very excited to have you on today. I've already introduced you in the intro of this, but I want to know, what is your story? How did you get to where you are now?  Well, such a leading question  and it's to try and think, I guess, about the things that are really relevant for this.

Um, when I was growing up, I grew up in Sydney. Um, my parents, uh, we lived in,  near the beach in Sydney. Um, and all through my childhood whilst it was very happy, I have beautiful memories of it. Um, in my, uh, Later teens, or actually my early teens, I started to develop symptoms of anxiety and depression which I realize now much later, way down the track, were based on some gut health issues that I had, um, had from a very early age.

I ended up with, um, pretty severe anorexia towards the end of year 12 at school and later in my early 20s developed an autoimmune disease. And all of those things combined with living at home with a mother who really struggled with alcohol my entire life, um, she had self worth issues that didn't really, she went down the plastic surgery route, and I know that she's passed now, but she wouldn't mind me sharing in this way.

It didn't help her because really the way she felt was internal. It wasn't about what was on the outside. And so I guess all of those things set me up to really have this viewpoint that we are not just our external selves, but we also are this whole holistic sort of organism, and I wanted to look at our.

internal health. When the doctors told me I'd never get better, that was like a red flag to a bull. And I immediately knew that I was going to get through it. And, um, I trained incessantly through many, many different things from yoga teacher, functional nutrition, aromatherapy, holistic health coaching, energy healing, Reiki master, sound healing.

And it goes on and on and on  so that I could be a fully healed, Um, to my children, because that's really my most driving force, my three beautiful kids and husband and dog.  Oh, that's, that's so beautiful. And you know, obviously it's, isn't it interesting how, you know, I had one guest say the same thing, like, okay, I was born in, because like, that's what it is, right?

All of the things that happened in our lives lead us to where we are now. And I think. You know, all the trainings and all the things you do is what makes us super unique when we go to start our businesses. And I, you know, isn't it interesting how we reflect and we gather all the things we've done and we're like, Oh my God, the list is endless.

I think too, so many people feel like they've gone off path, right? They're like, Oh, I just went all these diverse ways, but I think we're so blessed and we can look back and say, actually, everything brought me to this and how divine that I got to this point where I've got all of these really random and obscure things that I can incorporate into my own way of working and living and being.

Yeah. Yeah. It's a great way to look at it too. So you,  you know, if people look at your socials, they would see, you know, you and your website and all the things you do, skincare, skin energetics,  low tox. I'm obsessed with following all your advice and things because it's definitely changed the way that I go about life, um, even with, with traveling.

And I want to talk about, there was a video that you did and you were talking about your, your products and how you infuse energy into it, which I thought was super interesting. And now you mentioned you've done a lot in the energy space for Reiki energy healing, which is amazing. So I want you to share a little bit more about that.

The energy work that you do, but also this sort of infusing of energy into your products, what does that look like for anyone going, Hmm, what is this? I don't understand.  Um, to explain it, I guess we start with the fact that, uh, have you ever heard of, um, a motor who did the, the water crystal studies? Yeah.

So there's also a lady at the moment called Vader Austin, who's in New Zealand, who does incredible work. It's actually way more in depth of his any. Of his work. And it's a very  visual representation of how energy can be infused into something. So this has been done for eons. So I use a form of biogeometry, which is, um,  anyway, I could digress with this.

We can say that what they do is with the experiments is that they will talk to, there'll be a glass of water of water, and they will talk to it and then snap freeze it. And the shapes that form in the water, uh, either beautiful and, um, as in that they are sort of geometrically  Uh, what's the word there?

Um, what's like an unchaotic, they're either chaotic or they're sort of beautifully geometric. Um, or even with Veda Austen's work, she can talk about things being beautiful and flowers form and words form. It's actually just insanely fascinating.  And these are some of the ways that we can visually see that when we put intention into a product or a, um, anything we create, it's It feels different to the consumer.

So even if you don't believe in it, I didn't talk about it earlier because I felt that people would think I was too weird.  And the more that I've learned from the energetic sphere, the more that I do to the products and the more that people become obsessed with them, which I love because, um, it's my obsession too.

And that energy work, I guess, I know that when I lived in Italy years ago, the Nonna's would tell you that you can't cook if you're in a bad mood, because you would put that into the food. Yeah. And so it's really just a development of that. And I've incorporated all of my own, um, I tend to take a little bit from everything, what feels right.

I'm very, I'm very open to  choosing the bits that feel right. appropriate and then I infuse those into the product. So I'll also interpret, um, biodynamic farming to use to create things at different times of the month, depending on the moon cycle, because that also  I believe gives a different result from the product.

So it's a real mishmash meld of things. Um, But I love it. And it's actually the most fun part of my business is  playing with potions.  Oh my gosh. I love it. And for everyone listening, I use Christina's, um, products and I feel it when I put it on my skin and I just like, you know, it's so nice. And I definitely get what you mean with the energy in it.

And it was just so fascinating. I know you're seeing people, Oh, people think that's a bit out there and a bit woo, but you know. It's so true. I always say to my partner, Mitch, like I can't cook during the week cause I won't cook with love and I need to cook with love. So I need like the time and the space to be able to put my love into the food.

And there's been times where I've cooked without love and you can taste it. It tastes horrible. So, you know, think about that when you're delivering a product or a service, like if it's not with that energy, people are going to feel that, right. And you're probably not going to get the results. And actually.

I wrote something in a marketing community group that I'm in. Um, I should have got it on my phone to read it. I might read it after this for anyone listening, but it was really, someone said like, what are you focusing on with your marketing this month? And I wrote about how I'm trying to work out this sort of correlation between the belief that my client has in what they do and the energy that we give into that content.

Because I truly believe those that believe in what they do.  are the ones that get the results and those that aren't like in that sort of, Oh my God, you know, we've got to put stuff out there because, you know, that's what the algorithm is telling us and we've got to hustle and we've got to, you know, that's when things don't work out.

So I've was really interesting having you on this week because I was literally thinking about it the other day. So I want to talk about that energetics and content. And for anyone listening, you know, Um, you sort of touched on it with this, you know, the, the, um, the words that you say to the water and you freeze it.

I remember hearing this from a holistic doctor that I spoke to. So how does this work? You know, if we're going to like create content or to show up, how can we put ourselves in this sort of like energy to cook with love, for example, to, to create content with love. And I imagine when you're going to create your products, you have to put yourself into that sort of space to do that as well.

What do you do?  I don't know if I can tell you what I do.  It's like the rattles.  Like it's all the weird words. I even just shut myself down in my office and I don't let anyone in. No one can come in. Okay. Well, what could other people do?  Side note, it's not actually great for, um, Consistency in your business when you can only create things when you're in the right mood at the right time of the month with the learners cycle.

It's like quite limiting in a way. Um, but I really trust that that's, uh, that that really is what I'm supposed to be doing. So I'm just learning to get better at that as well. Um, in terms of what I was thinking about when you were sort of saying that about content is that for so long, I feel like, and many people, especially my age, so I'm really 50, I'm 50 next year is that we really feel like.

Some people don't want to be on social media and creating content. They feel like, and sometimes I don't either, but you feel like you're up against this, you know,  big beast. It's like, you've got to learn how to do it. We're not technological natives. We learned it later on. Um, I remember my daughter teaching me how to create reels earlier.

And in fact, I asked you how to do something this week. I'm like, I don't know how to do it. Um, but I'm very open to it and I guess I just see it as bringing in the feminine flow. So I can't even believe these words are coming out of my mouth because it's, um, something I've been resistant to for a while, but we've been very in the masculine of like, do, do, do.

This is how you do your business.  I'm sorry, but I feel like the world is shifting and I don't want my children to like do their life, do work. I want them to be in it. And much like you and Mitch travel and you managed to get everything done, it's, it's the mindset you bring to it. So.  I turn up, I go live twice a week on Instagram and sometimes I turn up and I'm not, I don't feel great and I'm just totally open about it.

Um, I feel like we can, uh, we can overthink our way to sort of appear.  I think people love that authenticity of like, you know, we're not amazing all of the time. Um, but there are ways that we can really ground ourselves. So I use a lot of essential oils. Um, so using essential oils can help bring us back into our body where we do something called a scent tent, where you might put a drop in the palm of your hand and then you activate the oil.

And then you'll take a few deep breaths and that can really just reset the, the limbic system. So scientifically it works. It's not just an energetic thing. It actually works to calm our nervous system. We can, um, if we're into energy rituals, I have a lot of looking around my desk because there's a lot of crystals sitting around me.

I'm holding onto a crystal. Um, I love to eat chocolate before I do anything. Many of you will know I'm obsessed with chocolate. Um, I find that very grounding. And also just making sure we have a, you know, a few good drinks of water that just in that instance, um, hydration to our brain helps it work a bit better, even just jumping up and down.

If we need to lift our energy or getting our feet on the grass, or just taking a couple of breaths outside, all of those are quite simple ways that we can just bring ourselves back into our body so that we can be more authentic online. And also just rip the bandaid off. You don't have to be perfect.

Just speak to people, speak from your heart, they feel it.  Yeah. Oh my God, I love this because I think a lot of the times, as you said, we're always like, Oh, I've got to do this. I've got to do that. I've got to get all this content organized and ready without actually like bringing ourselves into that sort of present moment to be in it and be like, and that's why I think TikTok has been quite successful over the years is because people are so raw and authentic on there.

Like they just like, kind of, I've seen some very interesting stuff on that channel of how it works. What people share that they wouldn't share on, you know, another platform. But anyway, that's fine. That's the least they're comfortable. Um, but I love what you say about, you know, when you don't feel energized, cause obviously, yeah, to get in that space, the time of the month, we've had, um, Joe Maccas come on and talk about sort of that energy month, uh, moon cycle, but obviously that's not every time of the week and you can't always rely on that, but how can you at least sharpen back, you know what?

This is not where I'm at today, but. We're going to do it. And I think people really resonate with that because they go, Oh, thank God. There's someone on here that doesn't feel amazing every day.  Normalize that.  Yeah, I had a client I've been like mentoring for years and years and years now. And she said she was sort of feeling it.

Um, you know, the heaviness of, Um, all sorts of things happening at the moment. And I was like, you know what? I do too, actually. This is how I felt this week. It's just like, me too. And I think it's just like, oh, thank God someone, I'm not alone in this. You know, there's always like, I always like will message someone like.

What's happening with the moon, or the star signs, or what's happening this week? Because I don't feel good, and then everyone's just like, yeah, me too! What's going on? Is Mercury in retrograde? Which it is at the moment, and tech is not working for me.  You know my love of tech. I know, I know. I think that's a beautiful thing though, having that connection of people who are,  Either a little bit ahead or it's just that we've got different interests in terms of energy or, um, the environment so that we can understand and share with them, like, Oh, what's I feel weird today.

And knowing it's not necessarily us often it's outside of us. I have a beautiful chat, like just on WhatsApp with some friends of mine. And we're all kind of, you know, we're all energy healers and my daughter. I asked her if she wanted to join the chat and she said to me a while later, and she's 19, they're all more my age.

And she said, you know, I just love it because everyone's talking about things that I used to think were just me. And I'm like, yeah, that's so cool. I love that. Oh, I've got goosebumps when you say that. Cause I think that's like where we want to shift sort of this online space too, because there's so much online of like, you know, I earn X amount of dollars or I'm traveling the world and even, you know, Mitch and I travel, but like, I try to show as much as possible.

Like, it's been raining for two days. Our vlog yesterday was the most boring vlog you've ever seen on TikTok. Because it was like, we woke up, we worked, arranged, goodbye.  Because there's literally like nothing to do. And I think like, um, some people go, you know what? Thank God. And with anything you do, there's always those  You know, moments that don't feel awesome, like we, you know, when you worked a nine to five, all you wanted to do was work in your own business.

And then when you work in your own business, sometimes you think, Oh, sometimes what am I doing? It would be easier, but you know, it's just, that's just, and if someone is on line sort of at least sharing that from their own perspective, I think it's like, Thank God, even if you don't feel like being here today, you're at least going to acknowledge it.

So I love that. But you also talk about, um, being your most radiant self and obviously from an outside perspective, but also from the inside. And I remember you sharing, sharing something in your content was like, you know, when you see that person across the room and maybe they look beautiful, but then their energy maybe isn't there, but then you see that one person and you, I just so attracted to talking to them.

Can you explain that? Cause I imagine that happens on social media where naturally attracted to someone that is look, even if maybe they don't, cause I even feel when you show up, even if you're say, I feel shit today. You still have that energy that makes me want to be like, Oh my God, Cress is my person.

Like I want to learn more or talk to her. So what is your most radiant self look like? Like, how do you help people define what that looks like for them?  That's a large question there.  I'm going deep. Yeah. So I,  there's the outward aesthetics, right? So I love something about getting older that you just, you know, what suits, you know, what doesn't.

And my mom actually used to give me the most Classic advice. Um, often as women, as women, particularly during our menstrual cycle, there'll be days that we just don't feel like we just, you know, you wake up, you feel like you've put on 10 kilos overnight. Like it's just, you know, that didn't actually happen, but you can't get yourself out the door.

And she goes, just put on an outfit that you've worn before, and off you go. Don't even look in the mirror. And I think that's classic. So sometimes it's just about mindset. Mm-Hmm. Um, there's also that element of  how can we nourish ourselves. So obviously I'm at a different stage of life too. You've got a lot of.

Freedom to choose how you're going to operate in your day. And when you're traveling, you're like, you mentioned before that you can just change it depending on the weather, which is awesome. Um, with three children, one in primary school, one in high school, one at uni plus husband, dog, managing house, working from home, there's a lot more things to maneuver.

So how can I bring very  brief and not because I want to rush them, but because I don't have the capacity for long rituals, how can I incorporate them in that really help. One feel like we are nourished because. You can't, you know, that old adage, you can't pour from an empty cup. It's so true. Um, and that will change at different phases of life.

But then the third part or the third element that I really see is not just the rituals of the way that we live, but it's also looking at, um, things like Bruce Lipton's work of the biology of belief of what we programs we've built when we are younger, who told us that we would never get better, but You know, many of us have decided that is not okay.

Those words are spells, and we're not taking them. We're going to use that as motivation to get better. And so using the information that we've been given throughout our life, and we pick up most of it in the first seven years, and also the things from past lives, all of those energetic entanglements that we don't realize we have, and clearing them.

So for me, then that really allows you to see the true beauty in who you are. And I know Dr. Zach Bush is like one of my, um, major.  Information crushes and he's just got incredible, um, about ourselves and how they have this huge capacity to heal. And it's just magic when you look at it. And I just really love to help other, mostly work with women, see that we are all magic, all of us.

And just finding that for each of us.  Oh, that's awesome. I'm actually reading this book here at the moment that no one can see it, but it's called Love Medicine and Miracles by Dr. Bernie Siegel. Yeah, he was a surgeon and then he was kind of talking about meditation in the 70s and everyone was like, who are you?

You're this woo woo, but he's a surgeon.  And there's a lot of things that he talks about in here that resonate, not just to those that have got cancer, because this is just about like, obviously those that have survived. Yeah. you know, massive health. And you feel that too when people say, Oh, you will never be this.

And they've all of a sudden, um, you know, managed to overcome massive things that happen. And one of them in here is there was a woman whose mother told her she would live to a hundred  and she had breast cancer. She had, um, Oh, like, I can't even remember how many, but like five different diseases. And she still survived because she had that belief that she.

And that was her identity. And I think obviously identity can look in two ways. So you either identify as like, you know, I am this, or you take on the words that people have said to you, obviously, when you're young. And he also talks about being boat sick. And it's like, obviously seasick. And he's like, I can never go on a boat because I'm seasick.

I get seasick. And it's like, okay, if you say so. And then all of a sudden he changes belief and now he doesn't get seasick.  seasick. And I had that with onion and garlic. It sounds weird with the food, like I still think onion does upset me to a degree, but I was like, Oh my God, I can't eat it. And every time I eat, I get so unwell.

And, um, I just thought it was interesting with this like sort of belief pattern that you talked about. It's just interesting, isn't it, with this sort of like inner belief and that mindset shift, especially when you're like, Oh, I can't show up on social media because this, this and this. And, you know,  I had a woman yesterday like, Oh, I'm not very confident in front of the cameras.

If you say so.  Yeah.  I imagine when I go live because I was my face was not anywhere for years now I'm like ad nauseum I'm everywhere. But I just imagine that I'm talking to my friends, and I don't care if I say, um, if, but if I mess up my words because  We all do that.  And if that's really going to stop me, and I'm really grateful for a few people that have super encouraged me just to get out there.

But if I thought about, I mean, you know, I've still got a moderate amount of people on my social media. And if I thought about the people that saw, saw what I say, I would not be able to do it. But I just assume that everybody is there because they're enjoying it or they're interested in it. And so I just, That's the energy I feel from it.

It's like, oh, you want to know about what's going on. Okay, cool.  Yeah, and you get lots of people like, and that's that energy because you get like a lot of questions from people in your comments that, you know, some people go, Oh, I feel like no one engages or comments you get like people asking questions that people like because you are like, have that mindset, right?

So you attract that. I actually had, um, I saw the TikTok awards were on the other day and they post all the interviews and stuff. And they say like, do you ever think about the amount of followers that you have and how many people you're talking to that God, no, I just picture one person. Cause if I thought about all the people I wouldn't post.

Because that, you know, like some of those videos that go mega viral, like you just think, no, I just think about that. I literally feel like I'm just talking to one person. I feel like only one person is listening. And I think that's what makes your content very engaging as well. When you just imagine that one person that you're talking to because you put your energy into having that one on one conversation and it makes it like more intimate as well.

Right. Yeah, I completely agree. Yeah.  I love it. So  people that are listening, they either do or they don't, or they have this like love hate relationship with sort of how they show up. And from what you've said, I really love like, you know, obviously, um,  like this energy that you put into it doesn't have to be all the time because we're not always energetically feeling it.

So how do we, you know, shift and put that headspace in? But one of the things that I'm sort of toying with is how can we enjoy this process more? How can we enjoy showing up for our business, whether it is going live on Instagram, whether it is posting a video, promoting a product or service or whatever, what things have you done to help you sort of enjoy it more.

Because as you said, I didn't, you didn't grow up with the internet. So, you know, it's just like learning all these things. It makes me sound so old, but it's true. I  only really grew up with the internet when in my teens. So, you know, like it hasn't really been around that long. Right. Like I didn't, I like didn't.

My, some of my younger friends grew up watching YouTubers. Like, we didn't do that. Like, you know, so it's, you know, you definitely, it's not making you sound old. It's just, it hasn't been around very long, but like, how do you put yourself into that space to just go, you know what, like on the days I don't feel good or, you know, to show up and enjoy that process?

Uh, well, the first thing I'm going to say is that it is such a relief to work with people like you who I can outsource, uh, content to. So yes, I do turn up twice a week live, but I do batch content.  Uh, for you at which then you're sort of putting out there. So that really, when you're at that level of being able to do that is such a relief as a business owner, because even a couple of times lately, I haven't been able to go live because I was traveling or, um, had bad internet and Kangaroo Valley, I just couldn't.

Um, and so it just sort of takes the pressure off, but I guess the other thing is really just most of us go into business. I'm, I'm going to assume that many of your people are entrepreneurs or, you know, um, you know, Having their own business or at least they want to and we want to help people usually like we have a burning desire to bring something good into the world and if you connect with that desire of I want to help all women, sorry men, all women feel healed through every layer of their every cell of their being.

How can I not turn up?  It's just, it brings it because I'm serving people. And I used to hate that term. It felt very American, but it's really, I'm just there trying to be as consistent as I can be because I want to help people. And if I'm feeling low,  um, there, there is even benefit in me coming on and saying, as we said before, that I'm feeling low.

And so this is what I'm trying to do, but I'm here anyway, because this is authentic life and this is who we are. So, um, But the other thing I guess would say like trying to batch some content when you feel like you've got it and something else I think I might, I'm not sure where I learned it, but when you have all these great ideas, because sometimes they're just flowing, we're like, Oh, someone asked you a question.

You're like, that's a good one. Sometimes my friends send me, um, You know, questions from Facebook. They're like, answer this one, you know, is putting them just in a notes page or however you choose to file things. I'm not great at filing, but having them somewhere where you can use those questions. Uh, and I know that you've done a podcast about using, um, AI tools to assist you as well, um, with giving you content and all that kind of stuff.

I think that can really help you get out of a rut, but also challenging yourself a little bit, just saying, I'm going to put it out there that I'm going to do X, Y, Z. for 30 days and see what happens. You know, did I fall off the edge of the cliff because I turned up when I looked tired? Like you just don't, right?

Yeah. That's good. A challenge is always good because it does build that habit, right? Like, you know, when you want to get into an exercise routine, you try and enjoy those like gym challenges or whatever, but it's so true. That's how you sort of build that, that habit and consistency. And I think, um, you know, It's super interesting because you've really got to harness that element of when you feel really creative, because I think we've got this concept in our mind that we're always just going to be able to turn it on and be perfect, and we're not.

And that's, I think that's what makes it perfect. And I always like have those weeks like where you're like, oh. Why do I, like, I just don't have any, like, inspiration to be productive. And it's like, okay, this is the time where actually I've found I've been really good with more of the thinking side of things than the doing.

So I've been trying to honor that rather than like, you know, for my own business, just trying to like do all the time, like, let's just think for a minute.  Maybe that would be a good idea. And we've always like got people like, that's the thing I did an episode that come out this week. Which is the week before, from when this comes out.

And it was about this pressure of like social media. It's a 24 seven platform. Like no matter what you do, you're not going to be able to keep up. So you just kind of got to surrender to that. And in the weeks where you don't feel as low. And what I find is when those like moments where you feel like you're in a rut, that's usually for me, the universe giving me a sign to like.

And um, I'm really excited to be able to, um, you know, I'm really excited to be able to start stepping into something else. Like I had this moment with my content  a couple of months ago where I just felt like where I was showing up, it was just to like tick it off the list, which happens, right? And I tell people not to get into that stage, but it doesn't mean that I don't, because it's normal.

Um, I felt like for my clients, I could do it, but for myself, I couldn't. And I, um. I just reshifted my whole strategy because that was obviously what was needed and then I had this new like lease on life. I changed some things around. I think it's always like a sign for us to do something different if we're feeling low in those moments, like that are consistent.

I feel like, what is it? A bad day is not a bad life. Um, if it sometimes, if it happens consistently, maybe it's a sign to do something different.  I think too, is our vibration shifts also our audience shifts. So as we grow and develop, we learn different things and our businesses develop, our personal lives develop.

Therefore, what we're doing before maybe isn't aligned anymore. And we've got to be brave enough just to speak up. Allow people in to witness that we're changing.  I mean, I've watched my children grow and I think it's incredible. So why wouldn't I give myself that grace of like seeing where I've expanded or where I've made mistakes, but learned from it, or,  I mean, I've had the, in the last 12 months, someone asked me this week, you know, what are you proud of?

I have learned so much tech in the last 12 months with my website and Clavio  and Shopify and all the things I got. Stumbled on something last night, but I'm so proud of where I've come from in that 12 months that I feel capable in that part of my business, which is not my favorite part of my business and that's okay too.

So yeah, I think just honoring where you're at. Um, and I'm going to say that you're really great at systems. I know that. And so for when you're feeling low, you can rely on those systems. And I, I know other conversations we've had previously about looking at how Um, your menstrual cycle affects your creativity and your willingness to turn up.

Usually you're in the middle of the month when you're ovulating is like, you're out there ready to do everything. Uh, which is fine, but I don't have my creative ideas until I'm like just before my bleed. And so that's when I have my creative ideas. So I've got to write them down then so I can perform them two weeks later kind of thing.

Yeah. Yeah, I totally get it. That's where I'm at now. I'm, I'm four days to, um, I get my period. So that makes a lot of sense. And sometimes I think we forget that usually I'm like, why do I feel like this? And then I look at my app and I'm like, oh yeah, that's why.  But no one teaches you this stuff, right?

Yeah. Well, this is the new, this is the new teaching, right? It's, we get to get out there and just say all of the things that we're learning. Exactly. It's such freedom. Exactly. And I love what you say about like the tech thing, because like, people feel like, you know, Instagram's really overwhelming or showing up on social media, but it's right, like, the more you do it, the easier, and it just becomes normal.

And what was once hard is not. But you mentioned something like, you know, sometimes you've got to evolve. with your business. You did something pretty crazy in the last, you know, couple of months ago when you decided to completely rebrand. Let's just talk about that quickly because that happens in business where we go, we get this like intuitive nudge to just do something wild and you go, Oh no.

So, cause I remember you saying, you're going to, you're going to hate me, but I, like, I was like, no, let's do it. Like, I'm not going to hate like that. But obviously you got to go that, but what was that like when you had that sort of intuitive knowledge to go, all right, I just need to brand every, like, you know, go under skin glow alchemy and sort of change from stripe before skin.

How did you feel in that moment? Like what happened?  Actually, it was a miscommunication between me and someone and she, and she thought I'd meant anyway, I was trying to work out how I could have my two businesses on two websites. And I was like, this is a bit mad. Because I was trying to keep the e commerce separate from the, um, healing work  and I was so stuck on it.

And then when someone misunderstood what I said and said, Oh yeah, put it all together.  I was like, I felt like I was going to be sick. I was like, Oh no. And I had this really strong attachment to the story of stripy horse skin. And that, you know, people like individual, like the fingerprints, like zebra prints.

And it was so much of who I am or who the business, where the business started,  but it was not the evolution of the business. And so it was really scary to do it, but. The fact that I felt, I often find that point where you feel a little bit vomit, vomity, but also excited is like the, Oh gosh, we've got to do it.

Oh no, here we go.  Like you're on a rollercoaster, which I hate by the way. But, um, it just has been, it's been so clarifying in my business because it's clear for me. It's like, this is everything together. And that's what makes it my business different. It makes it special to me. And.  People have really resonated with the um, transition.

Um, a lot of new people have found me and I think it's because everything feels expansive. Whereas I was feeling boxed in before, so I guess I really went with the energy of it. But yeah, it was six weeks to rebrand. Um, and you did it really fast  though. Everyone in the team who helped me because it was pretty bold move and I was terrified to tell my husband actually

He just went, wow, that's a bold move. And I thought to myself, oh, that went down. Well actually, yeah.  I was expecting more.  But I love like, you know, on your website, like you've sort of got, you know, your products and then you've got the one on one and it just like, it does make sense when you see it and you go, yes.

And you're right. It's what makes your, you know, product based business unique and your service based business or your coaching unique, right? Because like, you're a product based business that helps with the service of, you know, energy healing and, and sort of, you know, you've now got this membership where you're bringing together, like all the things, you know, which I mean, I'm so excited for.

Um, and then you've got, Um, a service that has products to go with it. So it's like a very unique thing. And yeah, it's just, it's, it's so funny when we have these moments happening in our business, like, Oh no, here we go.  That's right. Strap in and yeah, go for the ride. And you'd know that it's bringing more pressure, but you just know it's going to be better on the other side, right?

You're like, ah, it's going to be amazing. Um, and just that trust and. You spoke before about intuitive nudges, and it's just really trusting that you are connected with your soul purpose or higher purpose or, and knowing what you're here for. And so I always felt I knew what I was here for, and if I wanted to really help heal women, which, you know, sounds self centered, but came from needing to be healed for my children to see someone who, like, of course I have days where I don't feel amazing, but I want them to see someone who, like, actually loves themselves.

And it still feels a bit hard to say that because we don't, we don't naturally say, you know, I love myself and I go out, you know, feeling like I can wear no makeup and it feels great. It's still a bit uncomfortable for us to admit that as, as women, I think. Yeah. And there's this big thing in like, um, what I find is a lot of, you know, when you go online and you see someone else and you're like, Oh my God, they're so confident.

Like, I wish I could be like that. But then when we go to step into that space, we're always like, Oh, I don't want people to think like, I'm too confident. I'm this, I'm that. But then you look at someone else and go, Oh my God, I wish I was like that. That. So it's very funny how, when, and it's like that concept where you would you say the same thing to your friend?

Like, no, I would tell my friend to, you know, everything's okay, relax, take space for yourself, do this, do that. And it's like, okay, what would you say to you? Like, Keep working, keep pushing, go harder. Like, it's like, what we would say to us is just so different, and it's like, why do we keep going here? But that's why, you know, we need people like you.

And you said this thing in your video about your own personality, and it was like, I don't know about you, but I like my own personality. And I was like, that is so good to say, because we do like, obviously we wouldn't be the way we are. You know, we see something like, oh no, I would never do that. It's because we like the way we do it.

So it's like, well, you like your personality. Now it's time to admit that you love yourself and that you can show up from that space because people, you know, are attracted to that energy and that's where that sort of radiance comes in. Right. When you, you, people could see that you truly believe in yourself and as women, it's very challenging, um, especially with double standards.

I had a client that did like a double standards post from a Barbra Streisand video where it had like one side, like if it's, if a man is, um. Um, you know, he strategizes and we control or, you know, he, um, what was the other one? Like he's trying to do the right thing, so he's respected and a woman is like being obnoxious and it's, it is interesting how that does happen, but if we can believe in ourselves, it doesn't matter about what everyone else says, cause we're like, people will respect, you know, I think we're slowly getting to that point where people go, you know, good on them.

Like she's doing her thing and we've come such a long way. Um, and I think if we can just continue to.  build on ourselves. It's going to help society for the future, right? You think about what you're doing with your children and how that's going to have an impact on how, you know, they have a family in the future or whatever they decide to do.

And it's just that ripple effect that we just have to keep, keep going for our legacy.  Anyway, that got deep. I love that. So, um, let's, let's wrap up and I would love for people to be able to find you and stalk you. So is there anything you want to add first, but then also how can people find out more about what you do?

Um, in terms of.  Adding something I just would love to say to people is that sometimes we feel ashamed of things we've done in our past or, um, so I, I said that I had anorexia, yes, but also I was suicidal. And so that contrast between how I felt then  and the way that I feel about every day now.  There's nothing worse than feeling like you don't want to be on the planet anymore.

And I look at my life and I think how incredible it is. There's still tough days. Right. But I'm so grateful for that. Um, the. Uh, what's that called? Between one and the other. I can't remember the word. Polarity? Balance? Yeah, the polarity between that. Of like, knowing what it feels like to feel that you don't want to face another day.

To being here. That's not a very positive ending. But like, to be here and just thinking, wow, every day there's something to embrace, to learn, to give out in the world. And,  We just have the opportunity, like we have the greatest potential. And when you spoke before about, um, the difference between men and women,  are we not the best teachers for men that they can do it differently?

They don't have to just go and work, work, work, work and do, do, do that. They can embrace a little bit of being. And I think that whether we do that with our partner, with our friends, with our children, um, we just have to be more of ourselves and let ourselves be out there, be that beacon of light for others  hold on to that it's possible and that gives me goosebumps.

It's like that helps me when I'm feeling like, Oh, what am I doing? It's like, I'm the beacon of light. I'm the beacon of light helping people to say that there's a flowier way.  Yeah. I love that. It's so true. It's like when you have this like really great thing and you want to share it with your friends, but you don't want it.

Like I have this great book. You should read it. And it's like, no, you can't. you just practice and people go, what do you do? What's changed? And then that's how you sort of, you know, you never force things on people. You just share with them and they become attracted. I love that beacon of light, like a lighthouse, you know, making sure everyone can see you.

Um, so yeah, we'll have your, links in the show notes, but where's the best place for people to find you right now if they're listening and they don't have time to click a link?  Uh, so I am everywhere.  So I'm on Instagram, both my personal account is, uh, my name, Cressida Pollock, and on my, I've got my business, which is Skin Glow Alchemy.

So I'm on Instagram, TikTok, soon to be. sharing more on YouTube. And then if you're interested in really embracing all of those different aspects of yourself and being your most radiant version of you, then you can have a look at my membership, which is, um, we're launching, like embarking on it right now.

So you're not behind, you're like right there with us. And that is, um, on the website, skinglowalchemy.  com. Yes, we will put a link in the show notes and you can come and join me. I'm very excited for it, but thank you so much, Chris, for sharing your wisdom. I knew you were the perfect person to come on and talk about energy.

So thank you so much.  Thank you. What did you think? It's very deep. I love it, right? I love talking about this stuff because as I said, I feel like there's just been this like shift in. Thank you. How we show up does come down to a lot of mindset stuff and I am not the right person to talk about so I want people to come on.

But I mentioned in the episode a message that I put in a Facebook group. I'm going to read it to you right now because basically the question was for context, like, um,  what one thing are you currently focusing on your marketing or mindset? Because this, um, group I'm part of, which is the Birdcage  school, which, um, Maddie was in one of the episodes that we've done.

Um, I'll link it in the show notes, but basically  She does a lot about strategy, but then also mindset. And I wrote in here right now, I'm focusing on the energy around marketing and the belief that shifts things. I see with clients who believe in what they do and don't put pressure on social media to bring  all in all.

These clients and leads are the ones who have a lot of success with it. So I'm working on ways I can share this and can make it possible for people to have a lot of success with content marketing.  So that's what I wrote. And it's very interesting. That's why I want to get people on like Cress, who can talk about this sort of energetics, this vibration, and how we can show up as our most authentic selves.

So I hope you loved it as much as I did. Be a content queen or king and remember that developing your strategy, your story and mindset develops your business.
